I am beginning to feel that I am jinxed...

Last month, a friend was attacked by a log on a beach and in the course of having the thing fall on top of her, broke her pelvis in four places. She got released from the hospital last Tuesday.

Then, my friend's mother, who had just visited my home while vacationing here from Japan, slipped on wet concrete (while holding my friend's two-year-old) and broke her hip. This resulted in surgery and delaying her parent's return home.

My friend's boyfriend told me that perhaps he should stop hanging out with my friend and I when we get together because he couldn't afford to end up hospitalized. I hadn't thought about it but perhaps he is right...
